KSAT is the world’s largest supplier of telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) and data acquisition services for non-geostationary satellites. Founded in 1968, KSAT has grown to over 550 employees with an annual revenue of approximately $200M+. About 50% of KSAT’s annual revenue comes from the US. The wholly owned subsidiary KSAT Inc. (aka. KSAT USA) is located in Denver, Colorado and is rapidly growing in response to strong US Government and industry demand for commercial ground segment and satellite operations services. As a result of KSAT’s continued growth in the US, more critical talent is needed.
Summary of Position
KSAT is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the successful delivery a of satellite operations projects. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall health and performance of assigned projects, serving as the primary point of coordination between customers, KSAT leadership, operations, engineering, commercial, and other internal and external stakeholders.
This role provides leadership across the full NASA systems engineering lifecycle, ensuring that customer commitments are understood, resources and priorities are aligned, risks are actively managed, and projects are delivered in accordance with contractual, financial, schedule, and performance expectations.
The Project Manager will establish strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, provide visibility into project performance, and drive issues and decisions to resolution. The role requires a strong combination of business acumen, customer management, leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a technically complex environment.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Satellite Operations leadership team to ensure that customer and business objectives are aligned with operational capabilities and priorities.
This position will report to the US Satellite Operations Lead and will be based in the Denver region, with an expectation of three to four days in the office per week, with remaining time flexible to remote work. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Compensation
The base salary range is between $110K - $140K

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the overall project management lead and primary customer-facing point of contact for assigned satellite operations projects.
- Establish and manage project objectives, priorities, schedules, milestones, budgets, and performance expectations.
- Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver customer, contractual, financial, and operational commitments.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships; lead project reviews, status meetings, executive briefings, and resolution of customer concerns and escalations.
- Monitor project health, including cost, schedule, scope, risk, quality, resources, and customer satisfaction, and proactively address issues and variances.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and opportunities, providing leadership with clear recommendations and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with Satellite Operations leadership to align customer commitments with operational capabilities, resources, and priorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and delivered in accordance with customer, contractual, and program requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, reporting, financial forecasts, and governance to ensure clear visibility into project performance and commitments.
- Support proposals, contract modifications, renewals, business development, and strategic planning activities.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve project execution, customer experience, operational efficiency, and business performance.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- 7+ years of experience in project management, project management, or a related leadership role.
- 3+ years of experience in aerospace, space, satellite, defense, telecommunications, or other high-technology industries
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and significant customer commitments.
- Demonstrated experience developing technical documentation, customer deliverables, and program documentation for complex technical or operational systems.
- Strong business acumen with experience managing or contributing to financial, contractual, and operational decisions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, scope, risk, and performance.
- Strong customer relationship management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, technical teams, operational personnel, and executive leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing individuals without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks and opportunities and develop practical solutions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience developing and presenting project status, financial information, risks, and recommendations to leadership and customers.
Preferred
- Experience supporting satellite operations, ground segment design or other complex operational services.
- Experience managing long-term customer relationships.
- Experience with U.S. Government customers or contracts.
- Experience working with international customers, partners, and geographically distributed teams.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business-related field
- PMP or equivalent program/project management certification desired
Other
- US Citizenship / Permanent Residence Required
- Ability to obtain US Secret Clearance, if required
- Ability to support systems handling Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)
